Hanover, MD (May 28, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced that Andreas Schöpperle has been placed as Global General Counsel at Bearing Point, the multinational management and technology consulting firm headquartered in Amsterdam. The search was led by Naveen Tuli and Tanja Albers, both of MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice Group in London and Amsterdam, respectively.
In this role, Andreas will provide legal support for daily business operations, as well as strategic initiatives. He will lead, direct and control general counsel activities within the group to protect reputation and business interests and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Andreas will also serve as advisor to the leadership team on all legal matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the group operations.

Andreas brings over 20 years of cross-cultural and cross-jurisdictional experience gained in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa and is a seasoned strategic advisor to leadership teams. Most recently, serving as associate general counsel at The Boston Consulting Group, he was the regional legal lead for Asia Pacific and Africa and established the firm’s Global Legal Center of Expertise for New & Emerging Markets. Earlier roles in his career included project manager, Oil & Gas and legal advisor with Cameron Subsea Systems GmbH. He also practiced as an associate lawyer with Rödl & Partner in Paris.
