Hanover, MD (October 7th, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced that Harm Uittien has been placed as general counsel and company secretary at ICT Group, a technology service provider in key sectors such as logistics, automotive and healthcare. The search was led by Remco Abeln and Nick Spenkelink, both of MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice Group in Amsterdam.
In this dual role and as a member of the group steering committee, Harm will support the executive and supervisory boards and play an active part in the preparation and reporting of board activity. With the company’s legal counsel, he will support the commercial activities of ICT and make strategic recommendations to the growth of the organization through M&A.
Commenting on the appointment starting this August, Nick Spenkelink said, “With his legal experience, business acumen and robust knowledge of M&A, Harm is accustomed to advising boards in fast changing environments. He was the ideal fit to join ICT and will directly contribute to the firm’s international growth strategy.”
Harm brings 25 years’ experience in both private practice and in-house with a focus on M&A, corporate finance, JVs and governance. A commercially-minded lawyer, he has worked across a broad range of industries including energy, retail, automotive and financial services. Most recently, Harm worked as an independent legal consultant on a variety of project and interim roles. He gained his private practice experience at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and as a partner at Van Doorne.
