MLA Places Zac Rosenberg as Chief Compliance Officer at Indaba Capital Management, L.P.

Hanover, MD (November 30, 2022) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Zac Rosenberg as chief compliance officer at Indaba Capital Management, L.P. in San Francisco. The search was led by Anna Gorodetsky, managing director with MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting group in San Francisco.

Founded in 2010, Indaba is a San Francisco-based hedge fund with more than $1.0 billion in assets under management. The firm is an opportunistic value investor that employs a mix of fundamental investment strategies and invests across the capital structure to create a concentrated, “best ideas” portfolio.

As chief compliance officer, Zac will play an essential role in the strategic development and management of Indaba’s best-in-class hedge fund compliance function.

Zac joins Indaba after spending six years at Harvest Capital Strategies as managing director, where he served as CCO and legal counsel to an alternative asset fund manager, including long/short equity hedge funds, private equity, direct lending, real estate and venture capital. Prior to Harvest, he was a vice president and partner at Cordium (f/k/a HedgeOp Compliance), providing proactive operational and compliance support services primarily to SEC-registered investment advisers to hedge funds, private equity funds and fund of funds. He began his legal career as an associate attorney and compliance consultant with Jacko Law Group, P.C. Zac earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Arizona.
