Since our founding in 1982, we have been committed to diversity in the law and have championed diverse attorneys. Our Diversity Recruiting Initiative encompasses more than just making sure we are recruiting diverse candidates.
The mission of the African American Recruiters ERG is to promote the inclusion and development of African American recruiters at MLA. The AAR ERG seeks to provide a forum and “safe place” for candid communication and networking amongst the members as well as a platform to voice individual and group concerns and suggestions to firm management and to promote awareness of challenges and opportunities that may be unique to the group members.
Latinergia ERGWe strive to provide our Latin(e) members with a sense of ‘Familia’ that makes us feel welcomed, empowered, and comfortable in our own skin. We commit to providing development and leadership opportunities for our members’ personal and professional growth while also contributing to MLA’s culture by celebrating the diversity of the Latin(e) heritage.
Mental Health ERGThe mission is to cultivate a mentally healthy workplace where employees are able to have open, authentic and life-changing conversations about mental health in the workplace, both individually and on a strategic level.
MLAsians ERGThe purpose of the MLAsians is to promote justice, equity, and opportunity for Asian Pacific Americans. We aim to foster professional development, advocacy, and community through internal and external events, meetings and volunteer work.
The Outlaws (LGBTQ+) ERGThe mission of the ERG is to provide resources to and create a dedicated environment for LGBTQIA employees where they can discuss personal and professional challenges freely, be empowered by the other members, and help alleviate and eliminate misunderstanding, prejudice, and unconscious bias within the firm and the larger legal community.
Parents of Little Ones (POLO) ERGOur aim is to serve as a community and resource for those individuals at MLA who are raising young children. We focus on creating a supportive and safe space to discuss our experiences as well as make productive recommendations that will help foster an inclusive culture.
The mission of Major, Lindsey & Africa’s and Allegis Partners’ Mentoring Program is to equally empower all employees to grow professionally and realize their full potential. By facilitating one-on-one mentoring relationships, the program helps employees strengthen their self-confidence, find their voice, integrate easily and thrive in their role and within our organization.
