MLA Places Kanokrat Perngmark as General Counsel Thailand and Philippines at Kimberly Clark

Hanover, MD (June 29, 2021) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the placement of Kanokrat Perngmark as general counsel, Thailand and Philippines at Kimberly-Clark, the multinational personal care corporation. The search was led by Olivia Seet and Pooja Mahbubani with MLA’s In-House Counsel group in Singapore and Hong Kong, respectively.

Based in Bangkok, Kanokrat will have end-to-end responsibility for all legal matters in the consumer and professional business, providing legal advice, strategy and risk management. As a business partner to the managing director of Thailand and the general manager of Philippines, she will represent the legal capability within the leadership teams of both countries.

Kanokrat joins Kimberly-Clark from an American automotive company, where she held multiple positions over 15 years including Southeast Asia counsel and Leadership Team member for the region. In this position, she had responsibility for legal advisory across a broad section of business units in Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. She began her tenure with the company in Thailand as counsel where she was responsible for three automotive business units in the country. Prior to this, she was legal department manager with Thainox Stainless Steel Public Company Limited.

Kanokrat began her legal career with Pricewaterhouse as a corporate tax and immigration attorney before moving to the law firm of Vovan & Associates a senior corporate, investment and immigration attorney.
