MLA Places Femi Giwa as Chief Legal Officer at Salsify, Inc.

Hanover, MD (July 6, 2023) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Femi Giwa as chief legal officer of Salsify, Inc., the innovative software developer and commerce infrastructure that empowers manufacturers, distributors and retailers to win on the digital shelf. The search was conducted by Nancy Reiner, partner, and Robert Mannino, managing director, with MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting group in Boston.

As chief legal officer, Femi will lead Salsify’s legal function and play a key role within the executive team. He will drive the firm’s legal strategy through the next phase of growth and continue to expand on Salsify’s best-in-class legal and compliance programs.

Most recently, Femi was vice president and group counsel EMEA and digital business unit with Iron Mountain, where he led teams responsible for legal support for Iron Mountain’s records and information management business in North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he was senior counsel, IP transactions and new ventures with Colgate-Palmolive Company where he helped establish the direct-to-consumer and IoT businesses.  Femi was recruited to Colgate-Palmolive to advise on SEC and securities law compliance, M&A and financing and was promoted to support the India-based executive team on manufacturing, marketing, and distribution before ultimately moving to the senior counsel role.

Femi began his legal career with Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP. He earned both his J.D and A.B. degrees from Harvard University.
