Hanover, MD (January 25, 2024) —Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, has announced the placement of Jeremy Covino as a managing director and chief compliance officer (CCO) at FMC Group Holdings LP (dba First Manhattan), a New York-based investment firm serving high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and businesses. The search was led by Dimitri Mastrocola, Partner, James Lee, Managing Director, and Cara Bain, Director, with MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting team in New York.
As CCO, Jeremy oversees First Manhattan’s compliance function, develops its compliance program, and manages its compliance strategy. He works closely with the firm's chief legal officer, Andrew Aspen, and engages with the portfolio management teams. He also advises senior leadership on compliance, regulatory, and risk management issues.

Jeremy brings nearly 25 years of financial services experience, focusing on regulatory compliance. Before joining First Manhattan, he served as global chief compliance officer at Capula Investment Management in the UK. He also held various compliance roles of increasing responsibility and seniority at Fidelity Investments.
Jeremy holds an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in finance and marketing from Syracuse University.
