What attracted you to Major, Lindsey & Africa?
MLA has an impeccable reputation with both clients and candidates, and I honestly wanted to be part of MLA’s continued success story. More specifically, I viewed this as an amazing opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best and brightest recruiters in the industry.
What is the best part of your job?
Without a doubt the best part of my job is having the ability to see the joy in a candidate’s face when they receive an offer they have been hoping for.
Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.
It’s hard to single out one engagement. However, I will say that I have thoroughly enjoyed working with several of our clients who are making an initial attempt to hire an in-house attorney. It has been an incredible learning experience to hear our clients described the impetus for these engagements and their thoughts on the impact a true general counsel can make on the development of their organizations.
Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.
I recently advised a junior Harvard-educated associate who always dreamed of being an entertainment transactions attorney. However, through no fault of her own, she found herself in her second year as a litigator. I helped her find her dream job by transitioning to a lauded entertainment transactions practice at an AmLaw firm.
What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a recruiter?
Jump into it headfirst. This is an amazing career path that offers you an opportunity to make a massive impact on other’s lives every day.
If you weren’t a lawyer or a recruiter, what career would you have had?
Most likely, the starting center for the New York Knicks.
What is on your bucket list?
I would love to attend the Dakar Rally in the near future.
